Premchand Jain The Karmayogi
It's time for greatness -- not for greed. It's a time for idealism -- not ideology. It is a time not just
for compassionate words, but compassionate action.

Premchand Jain was born in the year 1909 to Dr Hemraj, an ayurvedic
physician. His mother died at a young age and Premchand's mentor,
friend, philosopher and guide was his father Dr Hemraj. His father's
words were gospel to him and his father's deeds exemplified the true
spirit of service to mankind.
The knowledge that Premchand Jain gained from his father, the
ayurvedic physician, was far more valuable and important to him than
mere formal education.
The most important
of these lessons was to heal the sick with the aid of the
Indian system of medicine. Young Premchand was literally
the shadow of his father, following him to every nook and
corner of many villages, sometimes on horse-back,
sometimes on foot facing many hardships with stoicism,
surprisingly unique to one so young.
